The first vice president of the commission, Alia Nassif, said, “There is movement with the judiciary to find a mechanism to recover the Iraqi Bank’s money from those who are reluctant.”
Nassif added, "We found the director of the Iraqi Bank TBI to be serious and persistent in developing the bank and advancing the industrial sector."
On Saturday (April 6, 2024), informed sources revealed political and parliamentary movements and demands to recover $215 million belonging to the Trade Bank of Iraq.
On Tuesday (April 9, 2024), economic expert Duraid Al-Anazi presented a method that he believes is “effective” for the Trade Bank of Iraq (TBI) to recover the $215 million it lost from reluctant creditors, while revealing the reasons for the occurrence of this problem years ago.
