The Ministry's Oil Pipeline Company works to develop and increase pipelines. The company's assistant general manager, Engineer Abdul Ali Odeh, told "Al-Sabah": The company transports white petroleum products such as gasoline, white and black oil, jet oil and gas oil, in addition to natural gas prepared for electric power generation stations and liquid cooking gas that reaches homes through pipes from North to south. He indicated the continuation of work on thousands of kilometers of pipelines in order to invest them in storing white petroleum products, as they are old, through the company’s warehouses spread from north to south, stressing work to develop and increase them and reduce dependence on basins in transporting various products. He pointed out that the company has many projects to build new pipelines that contribute to supplying the oil sector with products and transporting them from processing sources to delivery sites.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Oil is keen to develop and modernize the national pipeline network and the infrastructure of the oil sector, due to its importance in enhancing and sustaining reservoir capacities and to achieve high flow in the mechanisms and operations of pumping and distributing oil and its derivatives through its specified routes.
