    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]Member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, Kazem Al-Tawki, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the financial amounts held by the Ministry of Electricity are not commensurate with the current consumption volume in energy supply.[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Touki said, “The amounts currently in the ministry are only for maintaining the stations and increasing their production.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "The government handed over 19,000 megawatts to the ministry, but this increase is not commensurate with the increase in electricity consumption by citizens."[/rtl]
[rtl]A member of the Oil and Gas Committee pointed out, “One of the problems facing electricity is the large number of electrical appliances and problems with transformers in the region, as well as problems in secondary stations,” pointing out that “there are projects related to preparing electricity, but they need time.”[/rtl]
