Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced today, Friday, a plan to establish 16 new hospitals in all governorates.
Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi said in a statement that "the ministry has a new package of hospitals, some of which will enter service at the end of this year, and some next year," noting that "if the new hospitals enter service, the bed capacity of the ministry's hospitals will increase, and the result will be reflected in the quality and increase of services provided to citizens."
He added that "the ministry is proceeding with these projects, and has future plans," indicating that "the Ministry of Health is on the way to directing direct invitations to companies to build 16 hospitals in 16 governorates."
Al-Hasnawi explained that "the hospital will be titled 100 beds, but in reality it is 138 beds."
