, Minister of Health, Saleh Al-Hasnawi, announced today, Monday, the initiation of a project to urgently provide medicines to health institutions, while referring to a plan to rehabilitate 10 hospitals throughout Iraq.
Al-Hasnawi said in a televised interview, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani directed, since the formation of the government, to rehabilitate Al-Kadhimiya Teaching Hospital, after visiting it and examining its reality," noting that "the rehabilitation of the hospital took place by transferring an amount of money and starting work 4 weeks ago."
He added, "The main building of the hospital has been rehabilitated and opened today by Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani," noting that "the second phase includes the rehabilitation of the second building in the hospital, and after that the doctors' role."
He stressed that "the operating theaters will be rehabilitated, and there are projects in the ministry that include modernizing these halls through medical devices in various specialties," pointing out that "the ministry has begun to embark on a project to urgently provide medicines and medical supplies to health institutions."
He stated that "in the medium term, there will be sustainability in the provision of medicines and medical supplies," explaining that "when this sustainability is available, the medical service in health institutions will be satisfactory to citizens."
He stated that "the 2023 budget includes the rehabilitation of 10 hospitals located in various governorates of Iraq," pointing out that "the health departments have been granted powers to rehabilitate health institutions in the governorates." Ended 29 / H
