    Information/Baghdad...
The leader of the Unified Anbar Alliance, Mohammed Daham, confirmed on Tuesday that the continuation of divisions and schisms within Al-Halbousi’s party will lead to resolving the crisis of the parliament presidency and proceeding with choosing the new speaker of the council after the end of the legislative recess.
Daham said in a statement to Al-Maalouma, "The continued withdrawal of members and leaders of the Progress Party and their exit from Halbousi's cloak represents a positive factor in ending the current crisis represented by the presidency of the House of Representatives."
He added, "The withdrawal of 10 other members from Halbousi's party will be enough to end the presidency crisis, and it is expected that the current number is sufficient and appropriate to proceed with the selection of candidate Salem Al-Issawi for the position of Parliament Speaker."
He pointed out that "the parliament is currently in a legislative recess and the coming period is expected to witness political demands and movements to decide the position of the president immediately after the parliament returns to exercise its duties after the start of the new legislative session of the council."
