The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has stated that people with disabilities and special needs are entitled to import a car every five years through the Ministries of Trade and Industry exclusively. The ministry’s spokesperson, Najm Al-Aqabi, told Al-Sabah that the Law on Persons with Disabilities allows those included to import a car every five years through the General Company for Cars in the Ministry of Trade, or the Car Manufacturing Company in the Ministry of Industry exclusively. He explained that the cases included are amputation above or below the elbow in one of the upper limbs, or paralysis and loss of function, provided that the other limb is intact, while the lower limbs are amputated in one of them.
