Emaar: The residential complex for journalists will be transferred to an investor

The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, in coordination with the Journalists Syndicate, is preparing to establish a vertical residential complex for journalists south of Baghdad, with an area of 283 dunums, stressing that it will be transferred to an investor once its designs are completed.
The official spokesman for the ministry, Nabil Al-Saffar, told Al-Sabah: The New Cities Implementation Authority affiliated with the ministry recently held a joint meeting with the Journalists Syndicate to discuss the mechanism for providing residential complexes for journalists, with the ministry implementing it.
He revealed the agreement to build a residential complex for journalists through investment, to be constructed on the land previously allocated to them by the Prime Minister, indicating that the complex will be within the land of the Baghdad Jewel residential project in the Al-Zanbaraniya area in the Rashid district, south of Baghdad, with an area of 283 dunums. Al-Saffar explained that his ministry is currently determining the project's requirements to complete the complex according to the new modern vision that the ministry follows in establishing residential cities, noting that his ministry, once it completes the necessary procedures, will refer the project to investors to submit their offers, according to the standards of quality and modernity in the designs and following sustainable construction methods in a manner befitting the journalistic family. He stated that his ministry is currently in the planning stage, followed by implementation and commencement, denying that the number of residential units within the project has been determined yet, noting that it will be done once the planning and designs are completed, warning that the distribution and allocation of units within it has not been set controls, but the union stressed its keenness to ensure that all Baghdad journalists benefit from the project.
