    [size=45]Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rikani, confirmed that 6 new residential cities will be announced within the second batch in six governorates.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement by the ministry said, "Minister of Construction, Housing and Public Municipalities, Benkin Rikani, chaired a meeting of the team tasked with the tasks of the new residential cities, in the presence of the Mayor of Baghdad, the Chairman of the National Investment Commission, the Governor of Najaf, and representatives of the rest of the concerned parties."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement added that "the meeting discussed the application of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in new projects, including the process of collecting and sorting waste using modern methods as part of the sustainability requirements for new cities. The announcement procedures for the second batch of city projects were also reviewed, which include 6 new residential cities in the governorates of Najaf, Dhi Qar, Salah al-Din, Maysan, Muthanna and Wasit."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement continued, "The meeting also discussed the positions and recent work of the Al-Jawahiri and Ali Al-Wardi cities projects in Baghdad and Al-Ghazlani in Nineveh, in addition to following up on the recent procedures for the projects of the cities of Karbala Banks in the holy Karbala, and Al-Janain in Babylon." The meeting also discussed "the measures taken to deliver water to the new cities."[/size]
