    The Ministry of Oil announced on Monday the transfer of the FAO refinery project, which includes a petrochemical complex, to China's Power Java and Narco.
    A spokesman for the ministry Assem Jihad said in a statement received a copy of it that "the refinery capacity of 300 thousand barrels, which is a huge export investment projects, which is built in the city of Faw in the southern province of Basra."
    The statement added that "this comes within the plans of the Ministry to promote the sectors of liquidation and petrochemicals for export purposes, which strengthens the role of Iraq in these areas and achieve significant financial revenues expected to support the national economy."
    "The project includes an integrated complex of petrochemicals and other facilities built near the export port in FAO," he said. "The ministry plans to achieve self-sufficiency of oil derivatives through the establishment of investment projects in the liquidation sector and the gradual transition to the country of origin.
    Jihad pointed out that "the ministry is about to announce soon the call of investment companies to participate in the implementation of the Anbar refinery project with a capacity of 150 thousand barrels per day and the refinery of Qayyarah capacity of 100 thousand barrels per day, as well as the refinery of Dhi Qar capacity of 150 thousand barrels per day and other projects will be announced later. Ending / 25
