Arab support for Baghdad's nomination as the capital of tourism

Iraq received Arab support for the file to choose Baghdad as the capital of Arab tourism in (2025), before voting on it next November. The Prime Minister's Advisor for Tourism, Antiquities and Expatriates, Omar Al-Alawi, explained to "Al-Sabah" the developments in the nomination of Baghdad as the capital of Arab tourism, confirming the completion of the file and its delivery by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism, the Arab Tourism Transport Administration and the Arab Tourism Organization. He pointed out that "the file consists of more than (200) pages, and was completed by the committee responsible for supervising and launching preparations from all state institutions without resorting to any expertise from abroad." Al-Alawi pointed out that "(6) Arab ambassadors officially informed Iraq of their support for this file, and there are promises and reassurances from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and some Gulf countries similar to that."
