    The government, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is preparing to submit the file of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as the Arab Tourism Capital for the coming year 2025 to the Council of Arab Tourism Ministers, while a major celebration will be held on this occasion.

    The Prime Minister’s Advisor for Tourism, Antiquities and Expatriates, Omar Al-Alawi, said, “For the first time, an Iraqi city has been nominated for this event, and that a file of standards was sent to Iraq containing 9 items, each item containing between 7 and 14 paragraphs. It is a technical file par excellence, requiring reports and answers from the state departments concerned with infrastructure for health, environment, tourism, security and civil defense.”



    Al-Alawi said that "a committee was formed under his chairmanship to launch the preparations, arrangements and supervision of this event," noting that "work has begun on the file sent by the Arab Tourism Organization, which is one of the formations of the Council of Arab Tourism Ministers."

    The Prime Minister's advisor explained that "the coming few days will witness the sending of the file to the Council of Arab Tourism Ministers by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Iraqi representative to the Arab League, as there will be a program related to and concerned with the official celebration to launch the event."[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]The Arab Tourism Capital, which will last for a week, will host many artistic and cultural events, exhibitions, tourism activities, and hosting Arab artists and influencers.

    The spokesman pointed out that there is communication with the private sector, which plays an important and major role and is very interactive with economic activities, to agree with them to launch a major discount campaign exceeding 50 percent in conjunction with the official celebration, as the discounts will include all economic joints from shopping malls to restaurants, hotels, and airlines.
