Amendment of the Medical Training Law

The Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee is working on completing the fourth amendment to the Medical Internship Law, while it has completed preparing two other laws for voting on.
The head of the committee, Majid Shankali, told Al-Sabah: “The amendment to the medical progression law has been read for the first time, and we are moving towards solving the major problems in this area,” indicating that the law “includes issues of appointment and job slack in institutions.”

He also pointed out that "the committee prepared two laws, the first of which is "mental health", which was submitted to the parliament presidency for voting in order to support workers in the field of psychiatry, especially after the problems faced by citizens in the issue of rehabilitating and treating drug addicts."
He continued, "As for the second law, it is (protection from tobacco harms), and the legal committee has reached its final version to submit it for voting next week."
