The Media Authority and the Ministry of Education discuss the importance of enhancing and introducing curricula related to artificial intelligence in educational institutions

[rtl]Baghdad / NINA / The Communications and Media Commission and the Ministry of Education discussed, on Sunday, the importance of enhancing digitization and introducing advanced curricula related to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in all educational institutions.
The Commission stated in a statement: "The Chairman of the Communications and Media Commission, Ali Al-Muayyad, received at the Commission's headquarters in Baghdad, today, Sunday, the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri. During the meeting, the importance of enhancing digitization and introducing advanced curricula related to artificial intelligence and cybersecurity in all educational institutions was discussed, in line with global developments in this field."
It added that "the meeting touched on the Commission's plans to provide 1,000 smart boards and 1,000 computers to support government schools, within the budget of the Comprehensive Service Department in the Commission.
During the meeting, it was emphasized to contact a number of international companies to submit their offers to provide schools with the latest technologies, which enhances Iraq's position and places it among the advanced countries in the field of digital education."
The statement explained that "the meeting discussed the project of establishing 40 model classrooms for special education, equipped with the latest global technologies, half of which will be dedicated to meeting the needs of people with disabilities, ensuring an advanced and inclusive educational environment for all.
The statement indicated that the meeting stressed the importance of accelerating the completion of the requirements for signing a long-term memorandum of understanding between the Authority and the Ministry of Education, with the aim of activating digital strategies in the Ministry's institutions and enhancing digital transformation in the education sector."
He added that "the meeting also discussed the progress of work on the project to equip 3,000 schools with the Internet across the country's cities in cooperation with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the Ministry of Education, which was activated several months ago." / End 3 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.][/rtl]
