Standard Chartered Appoints New Iraq CEO

Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Andreas Meletiou as its Chief Executive Officer for Iraq.
Meletiou will split his time between Dubai and Baghdad, and has replaced Gavin Wishart, who has reportedly left the bank.
The new CEO previously worked on developing the bank’s strategy for entering Iraq in 2013, and was regional head of transaction banking in the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan since April 2013.
Standard Chartered employs about 20 people in Iraq, having opened its first office in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], and a second in [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.].
