Ministry of transport: Kerry's remarks are baseless and our airspace with the Syria subject to strict inspection procedures

    25/03/2013-1: 41 pm

    The
Iraqi Transport Ministry denied Monday remarks by Secretary of State
John Kerry on Iraq for Iran to allow the transfer of weapons to Syria,
and stressed that it "baseless," adding that Iraqi airspace is subject
    to strict inspection procedures.

    Karim Al-Nuri said in an
interview that the "us Foreign Minister deny John Kerry about the
transfer of weapons to Syria through Iraq," adding "We affirm that it is
unfounded and that our airspace is subject to strict inspection
    procedures.

Powell criticized John Kerry on Sunday (24 March
2013), the Iraqi Government will tolerate transfers of arms from Iran to
Syria, adding that officials in the US administration are closely
following Iranian air crossings across Iraqi airspace to assist the
    Syrian regime to survive,

And among those wondering "how us
allies in Iraq and allow it to happen?"In this regard, Iraqi Prime
Minister Nouri al-Maliki to help Syrian President Bashar Assad stepped
down from his position and not keep it.
