    Ministry of Transport announced on Monday that passenger traffic at Baghdad International Airport witnessed a rise during the past 2015, and revealed that the airport transfer of more than two million passengers over the past year by 25 thousand trips, as attributed to the Iraqis' desire to enjoy travel and the increase in air traffic to visit religious shrines, confirmed the implementation of several projects in response to that growth.  
    The transport ministry said in a statement received (range Press), a copy of which, "The passenger traffic at Baghdad International Airport witnessed a rise during the past 2015 amounted to 25 thousand trips," asserting that "the Baghdad airport nearly two million transfer and 166 thousand and 664 passengers over the past year ".
    The statement quoted the Director General of Civil Aviation Samer Kubba as saying, "The achievement of Baghdad International Airport this progress in passenger numbers due to the desire of many Iraqis to enjoy the atmosphere traveling with friends and family and the accompanying festivals and events, as well as the increase in air traffic to visit the holy shrines" , adding that "it enhances the growth of the country."
    He added Kubba, that "the General Establishment of Civil Aviation and in response to this growth, has several projects in the Baghdad International Airport, including the rehabilitation project of two showrooms Karbala, Samarra, as well as improve the technical side of the other airport facilities to be on a par with advanced airports around the world."
    The Transport Minister Baqir al-Zubaidi revealed, in (November 12, 2015), for the high number of travelers across the Iraqi airports within one year doubled, and stressed that the ministry plans to open two halls new travelers at Baghdad airport, as pointed out to make a presentation to the Ministry of Oil to finance ministry fuel.
    The Civil Aviation Authority (21 October 2015) announced, the transfer of more than 1.0007 million thousand citizens across Baghdad airport during the past nine months, as indicated that they are higher compared to last year, she said she came to improve the standard of living of the citizen and the increase in air traffic to visit the shrines Holy and tourism.
