    The Iraqi Airways Company of the Ministry of Transport, Monday, received 162.14 thousand passengers, 806 trips during the month of December 2017. 
    "Airline expects growth in passenger numbers and traffic activity at the airport during 2018," said Miran Farid, general manager of the company, in a statement received by Al-Iktissad News. He added that "passenger traffic at the airport in the Iraqi capital, Aircraft ".
    The Ministry of Transport, the conclusion of the agreement is the first of its kind between Iraq and Iran in the field of air transport between the two neighbors, after the announcement last September, the launch of an air link connecting Basra International Airport in Tehran.
    "The company has begun to offer new services in the field of e-booking and the launch of new lines in several regional and international countries," Farid said.
    The Ministry of Transport discussed on Sunday with the European Union envoy the lifting of the European embargo on Iraqi Airways and the return of Iraqi flights over European airspace.
    Iraq expects revenues of up to $ 5 million a month from the use of its airspace.
