" Kubba said that" there are implementers have been reopened by the Department of thecultivation of Babylon to receive the wheat crop in hand Midhtah (35 km south of Hilla) and Haidari in terms ofprotoplasm (50 km north of Hilla) , "adding that" the Department of agriculture Babylon expects to arrive marketer of wheat this year to the same amount last year, 270,000 tons through government and 32 ports marketed to the public sector. " Kubba said that" the amount of wheat marketed during the past few days and reached a seven thousand tons , "pointing out that" the lands that were planted this season has been reduced this year because of water scarcity and increased by 30%, reaching an area of 278,000 acres, after it was dedicated within 346 agricultural plan thousand acres area , "pointing out that" there are land estimated at 11 thousand acres planted with wheat outside the agricultural plan. " He emphasized agriculture director Babylon, that " the administration of the province formed a higher committee to oversee the marketing process is composed of the deputy governor of Babylon , and representatives from the ministries ofagriculture and trade, as well as the Committee on Agriculture of the provincial council and the Office of theprovince and the General Federation of societies peasant resolve all the problems and obstacles that hinder the marketing process." He noted Kubba that "National program for wheat , which is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture to develop and modernize the cultivation of wheat contributed a lot in increasing crop production during the last season, reaching its production to more than 300,000 tons." the Babil province (100 km south of Baghdad) is one of the interested agricultural provinces cultivation of agricultural crops such as wheat and maize, and has been a pioneer in increasing the yield per dunam of agricultural crops, because of the use of modern agricultural techniques and the use of improved seeds.
