    Revealed a Chinese company specialized oil pipelines, Thursday, for the launch of new technology in the drilling of the first oil well of its kind in the Majnoon oil to reduce the salt content in the crude extracted affecting the production, usually it contributes to maintain and increase production rates.
    The Chinese Jayna Petroleum Pipeline CPP Inc., in a statement it followed (the long-Presse) that it "has launched the electronic MJE20 technology in drilling the first oil well of its kind in the oil Majnoon field, which is run by the Shell Dutch company, in order to increase production by reducing the proportion of salt in crude oil extracted. "
    The company added that "the presence of high concentration of salts in the extracted crude oil forced Shell, the operator of Majnoon oil, to the closure of some producing wells which led to a decline in the rate of production", noting that "the application of the electronic MJE20 technique to drill the first new well of this kind in the field, during the current year in 2016, helping to ensure the preservation of oil production in the Majnoon field and increase it. "
    The director of the Shell project, Mhadbe Verde, according to the statement, "The technique applied by Jayna Petroleum to drill a new well to help maintain and increase production rates as well," and expressed his gratitude for "the Chinese company's performance in the field."
    The Iraqi Council of Ministers, honest (23 July 2014), a contract with Jayna Petroleum Pipeline Chinese companies, valued at $ 607 million for the construction of warehouses for the storage of oil near Nassiriya oilfield, (375 km south of Baghdad).
    The coalition between Shell and Malaysia's Petronas signed with Baghdad in January of 2010, to develop the giant Majnoon field in southern Iraq, where Shell owns 45 percent of the project's shares, while Petronas owns 30 percent, with the possession of the National Oil Company of the shares remaining.
    The Majnoon field, one of the largest oil fields in the world, estimated reserves, according to the estimates of Iraqi government, estimated at 38 billion barrels.
