Fantasy Friday: Buffalo Bills to start and drop for Week 16

For each week of the NFL season, we here at the Buffalo Bills cover32 site will be providing some fantasy football advice. Taking a look at two players every week, we will attempt to aid all fantasy players in their weekly roster selections with one start and one drop from the Buffalo Bills weekly roster.

Start — Charles Clay — Tight End
First and foremost, welcome to Championship week. Hopefully, if you are reading this you had a pretty good season off fantasy football. With your league’s title on the line, both pride and possibly some cash may soon be yours. To do this, you will have to have your best week of the year for fantasy football.
One player that may be able to help you accomplish this is tight end Charles Clay. If there is one weakness of the impressive Miami Dolphins defense, it is their coverage between the linebackers and secondary. With a weakened linebacking corps and a secondary that has played inconsistently at times, former Dolphin Charles Clay could be in for another big week.
If the Bills are unable to get the run started early in this game, they will have to move to a more pass based attack, especially against Miami’s front four. Needing to go underneath, look for Clay to get some targets, receptions and yards during this game. Heck, I wouldn’t rule a touchdown out of the equation either.
Drop — Tyrod Taylor — Quarterback
Despite being one of the league’s most mobile quarterbacks, Tyrod Taylor will likely be in for a tough game this Saturday against the Dolphins. Possessing possibly the best front four in all of the NFL, the Miami Dolphins are a pass rushing force. Cameron Wake and Andre Branch love to come off the edge. Ndamukong Suh can break through at any moment.
Thanks to the Dolphins improving secondary play especially against wideouts, Taylor could be confined to slot, tight end, and check down passes during this contest. None of these bode well for yards or scores making him a high risk player. The pressure on him could also see Tyrod make some mental mistakes that manifest as interceptions and fumbles.

Overall, I expect this to be a tough week for the Buffalo Bills quarterback. Despite playing well last week against the Browns, look for Taylor to come back down to earth this week against Miami. Heck, after the game he might even be apart of it.
