    Vice-President Nuri al-Maliki on Tuesday called for non-dependence on international grants at the Kuwait conference and seeking to request the implementation of projects through payment of time.
    "The Vice President received in his official office today a Kuwaiti media delegation visiting Iraq in the presence of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the President of the Union of Arab Journalists Muayad Al-Lami," the media office of Al-Maliki said in a statement.
    Maliki expressed his hope that the Conference on the reconstruction of Iraq, which will be hosted by Kuwait soon decisions to support the establishment of major infrastructure projects across the country according to the payment program in the term instead of receiving compensation and grants because Iraq is a rich country and has the capabilities and potentials to qualify for the success of the construction and reconstruction " , Noting that "Japan's experience in establishing projects in Iraq has been successful and distinct."
    He pointed out that "Iraq succeeded in thwarting the sabotage schemes that were aimed at its unity thanks to the great cohesion shown by the Iraqi people." He explained that "the great victory achieved is thanks to the advisory fatwa of Jihad and the response of the Iraqi people to this fatwa."
    Maliki said that "today the Iraqis have another responsibility, is to hold elections and continue to form a government capable of meeting the requirements of all Iraqis."
    For his part, praised the Kuwaiti media delegation, according to the statement, "Maliki's role in strengthening relations between Iraq and Kuwait, and conveyed the greetings of the Kuwaiti leadership to the Vice President and the keenness of the State of Kuwait to strengthen relations between the two neighboring countries."
