Japan's central bank chief: "The time has not come to end loose monetary policy"

    2018/03/02 11:32

(Encyclopedia of this Day News | Iraq News ) - Direct: central bank chief said in Japan , he plans to end the monetary policy loose if realized inflation target during the fiscal year ending in March 2020 " , but so far that time has not come."

"Haruhiko Kuroda" told parliament on Friday that now is not the time to do so because inflation is kept away from the target, adding that it has become clear that changing perceptions of price action will take time, Reuters reported.

In January, inflation, which excludes Japan's food prices, rose 0.9 percent year-on-year, the same level as in December.

Kuroda said that the Bank's members expect prices to reach the target of 2% during fiscal year 2019, noting that if this happens, the bank will no doubt consider and discuss exit from the quantitative easing program.

The Japanese government renewed the appointment of Haruhiko Kuroda, governor of the country's central bank, for a second term.
