Planning Declares Declining Inflation Rate in Marc

The Ministry of Planning announced on Monday that the monthly inflation rate decreased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous month. The annual inflation rate for the period from March 2017 to the same month of this year decreased by 0.8 percent, ).
The Ministry of Planning spokesman Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement received by "Economy News" that the reasons for the decrease in monthly inflation is due to the decrease of the sections of tobacco and transport by (0.2%) each, housing by (1%) and the departments of communication and miscellaneous goods and services by 0, 3%) for each and the department of restaurants decreased by (0.1%).
He added that the process of collecting prices for the month of March last included all Iraqi provinces except Nineveh province, which was not covered by the process because of the prevailing conditions, indicating that the reasons for the decline in annual inflation rate during the period from March 2017 to March of this year (0.8%) is due to The Department of Education increased by (0.8%), the Health Department increased by (1.7%), the Education Department increased by (2.9%), The Department of miscellaneous goods and services increased by 2.2%.
