China's Automobile Manufacturers Association said Monday that car sales in the country rose 9.6 percent in May from a year earlier to 2.29 million while sales continued to gain momentum.
Total sales in the first five months of the year increased 5.7 percent from the same period last year to 11.8 million, Etihad said.
The increase comes in May after rising 11.5 percent in April and 4.7 percent in March.
