A deputy calls for the activation of the Committee on Large Contracts to prevent the waste of public funds

The Secretary-General of the National Congress, a member of the House of Representatives, Aras Habib, on Sunday, activate the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/115316/%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%82%D9%88%D8%AF]Committee on[/url]Large [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/115316/%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%82%D9%88%D8%AF]Contracts to[/url] prevent the waste of public money.
Habib said in a statement: "We call for the activation of the [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/115316/%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%82%D9%88%D8%AF]Committee of[/url]Major [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/115316/%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D9%82%D9%88%D8%AF]Contracts[/url] , whose decisions have already been adopted in a previous government formation," stressing the importance of thinking about reviving the work and adoption of the decisions of the Committee because of their role in preserving [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2449/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%85]public money[/url] and preventing major waste, .
"The committee determined the minister's authority to sign contracts below (3) million dollars, and all the ministers and related parties and regulatory institutions to take a decision to contract by majority according to a documented and registered mechanism, and this contributes to neutralize [url=https://www.thebaghdadpost.com/ar/Story/t/2449/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%85%D8%A7%D9%84 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B9%D8%A7%D9%85]public funds[/url] for cases of corruption.
