(Baghdad: Al-Furat News) A well-informed source said that Iraq is considering reconsidering the feasibility study of the oil pipeline project with Jordan in full, with the aim of confirming its achievement for the highest economic benefit.
The source said in a press statement that Baghdad is currently considering the development of the project so that the line is delivered to Egypt, rather than ending in Aqaba, and that the Iraqi side is communicating with Egypt in this regard.
He pointed out that this hypothesis will make it more useful for Iraq, and exceed the expected to achieve if the line stops in Aqaba.
The source said that "the Iraqi government is expected to hold a meeting this week to discuss several issues, including issues related to economic obstacles."
