A senior Iraqi delegation led by Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi headed Sunday to Saudi Arabia.
The source said that "Abdul Mahdi headed a large government delegation, this evening, to the Saudi capital Riyadh."
The source, who preferred not to be named, said that "the visit will witness the signing of bilateral agreements between Iraq and Saudi Arabia."
The Prime Minister, Adel Abdul Mahdi, said Wednesday, April 10, that he will visit Saudi Arabia this week, to "discuss some files and economic projects of interest to both countries."
On Wednesday, a senior Saudi delegation arrived in Baghdad to hold talks between the Iraqi and Saudi coordinating committees. The delegation included a group of Saudi government ministers, who revealed during their press conferences and meetings with Iraqi officials "fruitful results" soon to be achieved between Iraq and Saudi Arabia. The file of visas and diplomatic representation, as well as the opening of Arar border port between the two countries.
