Iraq loses nearly $ 30 million a year on fuel oil and naphtha

The National Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) said on Saturday that Iraq is losing an average of $ 12 million a year as a result of raising the price discount for the fuel oil product.
The company said in a statement today that it has increased the price reduction of the fuel oil product more than in the distribution company, which in turn led to a loss of ($ 2,057,318) per month, or (12) million dollars annually.
The company said that the price discount for the Naftha product was raised by 743,000 dollars per month. Marketing through Sumo led to the loss of approximately 16 million dollars annually due to these discounts.
