The head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Fayeq Zaidan, discussed on Wednesday the application of law and respect for human rights with the US ambassador in Baghdad.
A statement issued by the Supreme Judicial Council received (Euphrates News) a copy of it, that "the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Fayek Zidan, received Wednesday in his office, the US ambassador in Baghdad, Matthew Toller."
He added that "the two sides discussed the role of the judiciary in the application of the law and the consolidation of the principles of respect for human rights."
