New Poll Trump Within 1% of Clinton

According to a new Morning Consult poll, Donald Trump has cut Hillary Clinton’s once double-digit lead to only a single percentage point.
Clinton now leads Trump in the national poll of 2001 voters by a 41% to 40% margin. The previous Morning Consult poll had Clinton with a 5-point lead. This was the best showing for Trump since the primaries ended on June 7th.
The polling was done between June 30 and July 4th.
