[ltr][You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Baghdad -arac Press October -22: Iraqi Prime Minister, rejected, Haider al - Abadi, Turkey offer to help restore the city of Mosul from the grip of theorganization Daesh, after a meeting with US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, on Saturday in Baghdad.
Ebadi said to reporters traveling with Carter, he said he "knows that the Turks want to participate, but we tell them thank you," adding that "this is going to deal with the Iraqis, and if there was a need to help Iraq be requested from or other countries ofTurkey in the region."
The Abadi said earlier in the day, during a speech at the Supreme Council for the Islamic Awakening Conference, said that "Turkey is working for theinterests of Iraq, not to help him."
Carter arrived in Baghdad on an unannounced visit for the Iraqi campaign , backed by the United States to restore Mosul evaluation.
During a visit to Turkey on Friday , Carter pointed to the US support conditional on any possible Turkish role in the campaign, and said that there is an agreement in principle that would allow the participation of Turkey in the end.
But Carter and other officials admitted at the time that the Turkish role details are still subject to negotiation and that Iraq must agree.
The tone of statements made by al - Abadi on Saturday does not suggest that this may happen soon.
And Turkey at odds with the central government in Iraq on the presence of Turkish troops in the camp near Mosul where Ba'shiqah trained thousands of troops.
Mosul and almost five times larger than any city dominated by the organization Daesh before.
A senior official in the US Department of Defense, said on Friday that the United States recognizes that Turkey has legitimate security concerns about the outcome of Almousel.anthy campaign (1)
