The Cabinet has formally approved in (the fifth of January 2016) to establish oil company Dhi Qar The total current production from the fields of Garraf and Nasiriyah, about 200 thousand barrels per day.
The estimated oil reserves in Dhi Qar fields more than 20 billion barrels spread over the Garraf, Nasiriyah and Abu column fields and the field of pouring.

Twilight News / she called for the governor of Dhi Qar Yahia Nasseri, on Thursday, to the launch of the petro-dollar allocations stalled for several years or classified as urgent since the debt, stressing its importance to minimize the effects of the economic crisis on the reality of services provided to citizens.
Yahia Nasseri said that "Dhi Qar has petrodollar funds frozen for years for various reasons, and call attention to the debts of the province of the Ministry of Finance and classified as a quick debt financing by the central government."
"We must find solutions to real and processors to balance the provinces, which seeks to open doors and new areas to overcome the effects of fiscal deficits caused by the economic crisis and led to the suspension of many important service projects."
