     BAGHDAD / Sky Press:

    Attributed to the Committee on Agriculture, Water and marshes parliamentary Saturday, the reason for the low waters of the Tigris and the Euphrates to the lack of rain and the construction of the Turkish Ilisu dam, while the government and the Foreign Ministry has demanded international action to stop the construction of the dam.

     

    Said committee member Abdul Hadi goodness of God in the statement I followed "Sky Press" that "the low water levels in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers caused by the lack of rain this year and previous years, and the tense situation in Syria and to reduce the volume of water releases of water by the Turkish side, in addition to the construction of a dam Ilisu artificial Turkish. "

     

    "The Turkish side is working for years to build the Ilisu dam artificial aimed at power generation and other reasons," pointing out that "the Turkish government has for several years to reduce the volume of water releases to water of the Tigris River in order to fill the dam water tanks."

     

    He pointed to the goodness of God that "there is an Iraqi committee working for years to put pressure on the Turkish side to increase water releases to water of the Tigris River, but did not reach positive results, because of the Turks in their heels for the construction of the dam and reduce the water releases."

     

    He called God's goodness the federal government and the State Department to move internationally to put pressure on Turkey diplomatically and economically and to appeal to the International Court to stop the construction of the dam and increase water releases of the Tigris River.
