    In the light of trading in the US administration circles for a disappointing performance by the Saudi army to confront the Houthis, according to several US reports, Mattis said that there must be an armed forces and intelligence Saudi strong considering that it hurt the interests of the United States.

    Pentagon officials convinced of the necessity to increase military pressure on the rebels to bring them back to the negotiating table.

    For his part, welcomed the ruling Political Council in Sana'a any international negotiating position and supports a political solution in Yemen.

    The news agency quoted Saba source of the Supreme Council as saying "" We followed the alleged statements by the ministers of foreign affairs and defense of Americans, and affirm the firm position of the just peace that preserves Yemen's sovereignty, dignity and territorial integrity, we welcome any international position that supports a negotiated and political solution, including the road map provided by the United Nations and the US and former foreign minister as a platform to negotiate and include political, security and military side. "

    The source of readiness to proceed with the negotiations without preconditions, with laying the foundations for strengthening confidence and stop what he described as the aggression and lift the siege imposed on Yemen.
