{International: Euphrates News} US Secretary of Defense James Mattis arrived in Afghanistan on an unannounced visit.
Mathis will be a series of meetings with the Afghan leadership, and US forces will inspect the existing situation there.
It is noteworthy that the visit of Matisse comes on the same day in which he declared the Afghan presidential office, accepting the resignation of Defense Minister Abdullah Habibi and Army Chief of Staff gave Shah Hahim, and against the backdrop of the attack by the Taliban on the military base north of the country, killing about 170 Afghan soldier.
