The Business Council in cooperation with the Interior organizes a workshop to protect the investor and investment projects

The Iraqi National Business Council, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, organized Tuesday a workshop to protect the investor and investment projects that serve security in the country, among those present that there is a close link between security, economy and investment.
"The protection of the investor and the investment projects serve the security situation throughout Iraq," a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior said. "Against this backdrop, the Iraqi National Business Council, in cooperation with the Ministry of the Interior, held a workshop."
He added that "the workshop was held on Tuesday at the meeting hall of the Iraqi National Business Council and under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior and in the presence of senior leadership cadres in the ministry and in the presence of the Chairman of the Committee of Economy and Investment Parliamentary and Chairman of the Committee for services and reconstruction parliamentary and a large number of men and women entrepreneurs,
For his part, the Speaker of the Council Dawood Abdul Zair delivered a speech in which he welcomed the distinguished guests of the deputies and the senior leadership cadres of the Ministry of Interior who attended this workshop. He pointed out that "the Ministry of the Interior sacrificed on a daily basis in order to provide security to the citizen in order to provide a lot of investment opportunities for the presence of many continents Which can amplify the financial resources of the ministry, such as the border port and projects housing Ministry employees and health insurance and others in cooperation with the private sector.
He called for the creation of the Directorate of Protection of Investment Projects, referring to what Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said between those who stop and impede investment as a terrorist and the Ministry of Interior must provide security for projects for a price because the investor seeks protection of the state first and not the security companies.
In turn, the head of the Committee on Economy and Investment Representative Ahmad Kanani said that "the interdependence between securing security and investment in particular and economic projects in general is real and effective interdependence and economic development through which can absorb unemployment, which is one of the main reasons for the deviation of some and destabilize security," demanding " Capricorn and condensate in order to secure the protection of investors
He pointed out that "the non-entry of foreign investment strongly in Iraq is due to the lack of a safe investment environment," explaining that "as a committee of economy and parliamentary investment following the details of investment projects and the private sector to discuss all laws related to the economy such as investment law and others" .
At the same level, the head of the parliamentary services and reconstruction committee Nazem Saadi said, "This workshop is in the service of investment, economy, services and security and finding the mechanisms that can move forward because of the urgent need as a result of the decline of state revenues and that there is no investment without security and the return of migratory capital." That "the Ministry of the Interior to consider how to offer investment opportunities to develop financial resources similar to neighboring countries and others in addition to stopping the slums that spread and distorted the urban planning of Baghdad and the provinces."
Saadi presented some points, notably:
1. Forming a special investment department linked to the minister and attributing an efficient personality to it and setting up an investment map in coordination with the private sector
2. I ask the Minister of Dakhla to put a direct line between him and investors
3. I call on the Ministry of Interior to form a special emergency force to raise the excesses and those who exceed the public funds in coordination with the Secretariat of Baghdad.
For his part, the representative of the Interior Minister, Major General Yasin al-Yasiri, said that "there is a strong correlation between security and economy," stressing that "the Ministry of Interior is preparing a solid security base"
The workshop was attended by a large number of businessmen, men and women and the leadership cadres of the Ministry of Interior.
