Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed, on Tuesday, the importance of the collection sector within the system of providing electricity services.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement, seen by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Suwani received today, Tuesday, a group of representatives of the meter readers working in the electricity bill collection sector on a contract basis. During the meeting, he listened to a presentation on the administrative and contractual conditions of workers in this field, and the most prominent obstacles facing the adjustment of their job conditions, according to the financial allocations related to them, and directed to follow up on the file of contractors in this sector and remove obstacles to their continued work.
" Al-Sudani pointed to "the importance of what the collection sector represents within the system of providing electricity service, stressing the government's determination to proceed with organizing collection in a fair and equitable manner, in a way that enhances the ability to provide electricity with higher hours of supply, and improves the distribution sector, as it is a basic target in the government's plans to develop the electricity sector."
