"The visit of US President Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia comes with the aim of forming an Arab-Israeli alliance to stand against Iran," said Bari Atwan, editor-in-chief of the daily Rai Al-Youm.
Atwan said in a video posted on his channel on the social networking site YouTube that the new alliance is a Jewish-Christian-Christian alliance that will confront the Iranian "tide." The new coalition will be covered by talking about peace in the Middle East, .
He also said the Arab-Israeli alliance would include "Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and possibly Pakistan," and would serve as the basis for a new coalition that might engage in a sectarian war against Iran.
Attwan also commented on US President Donald H. Trump's policy toward the Middle East, saying that Trump's policy in the region would not differ from that of his predecessors, who described them as having fought wars in the region like the Iraq war and talked about the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
On March 31, 2017, the editor-in-chief of Rai al-Yawm, commented on the 28th Arab summit held in Amman, Jordan, pointing to the existence of a new Sunni alliance on the verge of formation under Israeli leadership and the membership of four Arab countries. The Arab summit in Amman, describing the summit as one of the "most dangerous summits held over the past eight years," Atwan said that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas "will go to Washington soon to establish a new Sunni alliance in Arab region, "he said.
US President Donald Trump announced on 4 May 2017 that he would visit Saudi Arabia and Israel this month as part of his first foreign tour, and described his trip as an effort to build cooperation and support among Muslims, Christians and Jews in order to combat "terrorism." / 24
