    BAGHDAD, Iraq - May 24: The Council of Ministers held its regular session, chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Haider al-Abadi.
    According to a press statement of the Prime Minister, the session witnessed the vote on the mechanism of evaluation and selection of high grades and general managers in order to increase professionalism and competence.
    The Council voted to approve the recommendation of the Committee on Economic Affairs on the financing of the General Company for Food Products in the Ministry of Industry and Minerals by increasing the operational advance of the contract between the General Company for Vegetable Oils and the General Company for Food Products on the processing of edible oil from 10% to 30% Thousand tons annually for marketing in the ration card items.
    The Council voted to reconsider customs duties imposed on cigarettes.
    The Council of Ministers also directed 40% of the dues of contractors who were audited by the Financial Control Bureau immediately and without discrimination.
    The National Human Rights Plan (Implementation of the International Commitments of the Government of the Republic of Iraq) was also voted on.
