    Some Egyptian banks suspended transactions with the Qatari counterpart, including dealing in Qatari Riyals, and hours after the Cairo Declaration sever diplomatic ties with Doha.

    It boycotted Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Yemen, Libya and the Maldives diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting "terrorism" and internal destabilization of the region.

    Qatar is ranked 28th of the total volume of Egyptian exports, worth 226 million pounds, with the value of Egyptian food exports to Doha amounted to 12.27 million dollars. Where Qatar is preferential markets less developed to Egypt, according to the first quarter of 2017 numbers at a rate of 2.7% and the value of 70.8 million dollars.

    Qatar is the fourth Arab country in remittances from Egyptians abroad, and in the presence of Egyptian workers there.

    This official said a source in Egypt, in a press interview that "there are no instructions from the Central Bank of Egypt to stop transactions in Qatari Riyals.
