Gold drop to the lowest level and high dollar prices

    08/07/2017

Gold fell to its lowest level in nearly four months after the jobs data in the United States better than expected, raising the possibility of raising US interest rates and led to a rise in the dollar.

The US Labor Department said the number of jobs in non-agricultural sectors in the United States jumped by 222 thousand jobs last month, above expectations for an increase of 179 thousand jobs.

Fell spot gold price 1.2 percent to $ 1209.90 an ounce (an ounce) after touching 1207.15 dollars an ounce earlier, the lowest level since March 15. The metal lost about 2.5 percent this week to move toward the biggest weekly decline since the week ending on the fifth of May.

It fell US gold futures for August delivery 1.1 percent in the settlement to $ 1209.70 an ounce.
The yellow metal lost about six percent since it touched the highest level in seven months on the sixth of June at $ 1295.97 an ounce.
