Zarif: Iran does not manufacture any missiles carrying nuclear warheads

    Date of release: 2017/7/29

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Friday that his country does not manufacture any missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads, while renewing Tehran's commitment to the spirit and letter of the nuclear agreement signed two years ago with the countries of the 5 + 1 group.
"Every word in the nuclear deal has been carefully negotiated and Iran is not making any missiles designed to carry nuclear warheads," Zarif said at his private account on the social networking site Twitter.
He stressed that Tehran "has not produced any nuclear weapons and will not produce them, so it can not initially manufacture missiles designed to carry nuclear weapons."
"Iran has carried out the nuclear agreement in good faith and in good faith," Zarif said.
For his part, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi said in a press statement that Iran's scientific activities are "a legitimate right of Iran and fully comply with its international commitments."
"This is a violation of the spirit of the Comprehensive Comprehensive Action Plan of the Nuclear Agreement," US State Department spokeswoman Heather Neuert told reporters in response to Iran's announcement on Thursday of its success in launching a missile capable of carrying satellites.
