Jordan Islamists win 76 seats in municipal elections

The National Alliance for Reform, led by Islamists, won 76 seats in Jordan's municipal and decentralized elections on Tuesday.
"We won a victory of three out of six municipalities, including the Greater Zarqa municipality, which was won by Ali Abu al-Sukkar, one of the most prominent Islamic leaders," said Murad al-Adayla, head of the election committee of the Islamic Action Front (IAF) in Jordan)".
"The coalition also won 25 seats in the decentralized provincial councils out of 48 submitted to them, 52% in eight provinces, and five people who won the membership of the Greater Amman Municipality out of the 12 candidates presented by the coalition."
He explained that "at the level of municipal councils, winning 41 seats out of 88 candidates for these councils." He pointed out that the coalition "contributed to the success of 3 mayors were not on the lists of candidates." Ending / 25
