A deputy calls for the adoption of a law banning dual nationals from holding senior positions

Called on the state law MP Nahla al-Hababi, on Thursday, the House of Representatives to pass a law to prevent dual nationality of high positions in the State to prevent administrative and financial corruption, indicating that most corrupt personalities managed to escape outside Iraq without accountability because of their possession of foreign nationality, wasted large amounts.
"One of the reasons why the whales of corruption in Iraq are not held accountable is that they have dual nationality and enable them to escape out of the country after they have been discovered after a very large amount of money has been stolen," Hababi said in a statement.
"Parliament has to vote on the proposed law on not granting any political figure with foreign nationality a sovereign position," she said.
"The administrative and financial corruption has become a cancer spread throughout the country and its official services," she said, noting that "the presence of some young employees receive about 20 million dinars a day bribes of citizens to pass their transactions." Ending / 25 d
