He added that al-Abadi called for the formation of a special committee of the prime minister to investigate the facts and gave them full authority in coordination with the ministries and security agencies and the joint operations command in order to stand on the facts and take legal action and refer those who prove their right to these charges to the judiciary.
Al-Hadithi added that «the Commission started its work and scheduled more than twenty reports and a charge on its agenda and began to investigate and verify accurately the information and accusations contained in the report of the magazine (Der Spiegel), which included specific names of accused, and hosted the investigation committee set up by the Ministry of Interior, And the members of the Board of Inquiry, "noting that" was investigated with the defendants filed in the arrest and taking statements as they were suspended from work and put them in detention. "Al-Hadithi added that "the Commission has conducted a thorough and detailed investigation of the facts and access to all documents related to the subject matter of its work and follow-up the actions taken in this regard by the security authorities concerned. The investigation committee concluded after the completion of all the fact-finding procedures to the occurrence of violations and clear violations committed by a number of Members of the Rapid Response Division in the Federal Police by neglecting the recommendations and instructions issued by the Joint Operations Command, and proved that they committed violations against civilians and assaults and beating death threats ».
He pointed out that the committee supported the decision of the Higher Investigation Committee of the Ministry of Interior to refer the accused to the judiciary to take judicial action against them in accordance with the law.
