    Information / Special..
Today, Saturday, Sheikh Haider Al-Lami, a member of the State of Law Coalition, described the government’s silence regarding the Aqaba pipeline project as illogical.
Al-Lami said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, "Some neighboring countries had previously seized one of the Iraqi pipelines, and if negotiations had been opened with them, that would have been more beneficial than the Aqaba pipeline. The Ministry of Oil should have first restored the oil export pipelines from the producing provinces to Basra."
He added that "the Aqaba pipeline is a project to transport Iraqi oil to the Zionist entity, and America is working to establish it to protect the economy of the Zionist entity, which suffers from a deficit due to what it incurred during the battles with the Palestinian resistance," noting that "Iraq's oil will go to the Zionist entity and whoever protects it."
He called on "the government to assume responsibility and play a historic role in rejecting this project, which is a vital artery for the Zionist entity," noting that "the government's silence on this malicious project is incomprehensible and illogical."
It is noteworthy that the Aqaba pipeline has recently raised public opinion in Iraq in light of the presence of many question marks that still lack answers, including costs and economic feasibility. End 25 min
