    Shafaq News/ Today, Sunday, the process of participating in training the youth of the Kurdistan Region took place in the city of Erbil, within the decision of the federal government at the level of the Council of Ministers, which stipulates providing a budget and a suitable project for the youth of Iraq, in which the region participates through its youth to benefit from this project.
    After the meeting that brought together the participants in the training process and in a press conference, Mohammed Salah, the representative of the "Peace" organization in the Kurdistan Region, indicated that the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office decided to prepare a project to provide the necessary budget for the activities of Iraqi youth in order to raise the level of their work and awareness, and the Kurdistan Region will participate through a number of organizations, and will receive the activities in the name of the Kurdistan representative, and implement them for the youth in the Kurdistan Region, and the youth of the region will also benefit.
    He added that representatives of the Kurdistan Regional Government and other ministries in the region are currently participating in the activities of this project to develop the capabilities of Iraqi youth, which is implemented by the Office of the Prime Minister of Iraq.
    It is noteworthy that according to Resolution No. 2250, the necessary funds are provided within the framework of a broad project to develop the capabilities of the youth of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region on how to work on the issue of youth awareness and their participation in the political arena, administrative development and strengthening their financial capabilities.
    The UN Security Council today unanimously adopted Resolution 2250 on “Youth, Peace and Security”, the first of its kind, which aims to enhance youth participation in these two areas and urge Member States to consider ways to increase the comprehensive representation of youth in decision-making processes at all levels to prevent and resolve conflicts.
