Qatar sells the Luxembourg International Bank

China's Legend Holdings signed a deal to acquire a 90% stake in Luxembourg International Bank from the royal family in Qatar.
The deal is worth 1.48 billion euros ($ 1.76 billion), making it the largest acquisition of the Chinese company abroad.
Luxembourg, the owner of Lenovo Computer Group, buys Luxembourg International Bank, which was founded 161 years ago by Presence Capital, the investment arm of individuals in the Qatari royal family, including former Qatari prime minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim al-Thani.
In a statement, Legend said it was making the purchase through Beyond Lib, its unit in Hong Kong.
The agency "Reuters" revealed that Legend conducted in July talks with Precision about the possible acquisition of the bank, "Luxembourg" International.
