Hundreds of Jews families return to Iraqi Kurdish region

Mamsani expected that hundreds of Jewish families returned to the region, pointing that some of them returned after 2003 events.
He added that the Jewish families preferred to return to get their confiscated properties and for relations reasons.
Mamsani pointed out that the families are demanding compensations for their damages and atrocities committed by the previous governments against them.
In 2015, the Kurdish parliament voted for a law protecting the rights of the minorities, including the Jews.
Mamsani disclosed that only five Jews are living currently in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
On the other side, he expected that the independence of the Kurdish region will enhance cultural relations with Israel.
